I am the Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade school counselor.  The job of a school counselor is to nurture every students' academic, social/emotional, and career development. I also help to minimize environmental or personal barriers that may be preventing a child from receiving access to an equal education opportunity.

I work with students by providing individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons to help support good character development, increase positive self-image, and help students feel that they have someone safe to talk to.  I like to make learning fun while encouraging each student to always try their best. This program is based on the NC Guidance Essential Standards.
